Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a critical role in driving economic growth, employment generation, and social stability, particularly in developing countries. However, despite their strategic importance, many MSMEs continue to face structural challenges, including limited access to digital technologies, weak integration into global markets, and insufficient adoption of sustainable business practices. Recent studies in international journals (e.g., Journal of Small Business Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change) highlight that digital transformation and sustainability-oriented innovation are key determinants of MSME resilience and competitiveness in the global economy.
In the context of globalization and rapid technological advancement, MSMEs are increasingly required to adapt to digital ecosystems, develop strong branding strategies, and align their operations with sustainability principles such as resource efficiency and environmentally responsible production. Nevertheless, many MSME actors lack the necessary knowledge, skills, and institutional support to navigate these transitions effectively.
Therefore, this international community engagement program is designed to bridge these gaps through collaborative knowledge exchange, capacity building, and practical interventions. By involving international partners, this program aims to introduce global best practices, foster cross-cultural learning, and strengthen the capability of MSMEs to compete in both local and international markets. This initiative is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
