Submission Guide

1. Paper Submission

  • All full papers must be submitted through the Official 1st GREENOVA Submission System (WEB GREENOVA UNNES).
Only papers submitted via the system will be processed by the committee.
  •  Authors must read and understand the E3S Web of Conferences Publishing Ethics Guidelines before submitting manuscripts.
  • The conference welcomes and highly appreciates manuscripts produced through international research collaboration.
  • To avoid serial publication practices, each author is allowed to publish a maximum of two articles (regardless of their position in the author list)
  • Non-fulfilment of these aspects will cause your manuscript to be rejected.
  • Since we encounter ethical problems, manipulation, self-citation, etc., we prefer to limit the number of references to 15

2. Format and Template

The manuscript must strictly follow the official template, which can be downloaded here:

3. License Agreement

Each submission must be accompanied by a License Agreement form:

4. Plagiarism and Responsible Use of AI

Authors are required to submit both a Turnitin Similarity Report and a Turnitin AI Writing Report with the following rules:

Plagiarism Check (Turnitin Similarity Report):

  • Ensure that your manuscript is free from plagiarism.
  • The maximum similarity index accepted at the 1st GREENOVA is 20% (excluding bibliography).
  • Reports must not be submitted to institutional repositories.
  • The Turnitin report (PDF) must be uploaded via Supplemental File Submission.

Responsible Use of AI in Scientific Writing:

Authors may use generative AI or AI-assisted tools strictly for language enhancement (e.g., grammar, clarity, readability), under full human supervision. The following principles apply:

  • Authors remain fully responsible and accountable for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of the manuscript.
  • AI tools must not be used to generate fabricated data, analysis, results, references, or interpretations.
  • Any substantive use of AI in the writing process must be disclosed at the time of submission, including the tool and its purpose.
  • AI tools cannot be credited as authors.
  • A Turnitin AI Writing Report must be submitted in PDF format as a Supplementary File.

AI detection scores are used for screening purposes only. A high AI indicator does not automatically result in rejection; however, manuscripts showing evidence of excessive automated text generation without clear human intellectual contribution may be subject to clarification, revision, or rejection at the discretion of the Scientific Committee. The Committee reserves the right to request additional explanation or supporting documentation if necessary.
