On behalf of the organising committee, we are pleased to announce that the 1st International Conference on Health Science and Sustainability (ICHESS) 2026 will provide an international platform for researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders with the main theme of Addressing the rise in non-communicable diseases worldwide through lifestyle, and will be held in a hybrid format on June 24, 2026. It is the 1st series of the international conference organized by the Faculty of Medicine, UNNES. This conference provides a discussion forum to establish research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. This conference's parallel sessions will provide a platform for presenters from the health sector to share their research findings, exchange new ideas, information, and applications related to efforts to address the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases through lifestyle changes as a form of treatment. Lifestyle medicine has emerged as an evidence-based approach that emphasizes modifying daily behaviors as a central strategy for preventing and managing chronic diseases. Lifestyle medicine focuses on primary prevention and therapeutic lifestyle change through interventions such as balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, and avoidance of risky substances. This conference facilitates multi-sectoral dialogue on strategies to integrate lifestyle interventions into healthcare systems, educational settings, and community health initiatives by promoting lifestyle change as a core component of healthcare system strengthening. This conference is expected to bridge the gap between the scientific community and policymakers to reduce health disparities and mitigate the global NCD burden. We welcome you to this conference and look forward to your participation.
Thank you,
Asst. Prof. Astrid Noviana, S.Gz., M.Gz.
Chairman of ICHESS 2026
