All manuscripts submitted to ICESS 2026 will undergo an editorial screening and peer-review process to ensure their relevance, originality, academic quality, and compliance with the conference scope.
The peer-review process is overseen
by the Guest Editors and supported by the Scientific Committee. Details of the
Guest Editors and Scientific Committee are available on the Committee page.
In the first stage, the editorial
team will screen each manuscript to assess its alignment with the conference
theme, thematic tracks, author guidelines, manuscript format, and ethical
requirements. Manuscripts that are outside the conference scope, poorly
prepared, or fail to meet basic academic standards may be rejected at this
stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial
screening will be evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process. Each
manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant
academic expertise. The review process will assess the originality of the
study, clarity of research objectives, methodological soundness, quality of
analysis, relevance to the conference theme, and contribution to environmental
science, circular economy, renewable energy transition, green technology, or
sustainable development in emerging economies.
Based on the reviewers’
recommendations, the editorial team may decide to accept the manuscript,
request minor revision, request major revision, or reject the manuscript.
Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the deadline determined by the
committee.
The Guest Editors are responsible
for overseeing the peer-review process, maintaining editorial quality, managing
reviewer recommendations, and ensuring that accepted manuscripts meet the
academic and ethical standards required for conference publication.
ICESS 2026 applies editorial
principles based on academic integrity, transparency, confidentiality, reviewer
independence, and conflict-of-interest management. Authors, reviewers, editors,
and committee members are expected to follow responsible scholarly conduct
throughout the submission, review, and publication process.
